About Me
I am an international elementary school teacher, turn librarian. I have been teaching mostly grades 3 and 4 for about 10 years, and 8 of those years have been spent away from that place some people call home, which for me is California, USA. My first overseas position was grade 3 in Mexico, at the American School Foundation of Monterrey. I later moved to China where I taught grade 4 at the American International School of Wuxi, and also at Nanjing International School, where I currently reside.
My husband and I like to consider ourselves international. We have three nationalities between us, have lived in 6 countries between us, and our daughters, born in China, hold three passports. I am a wife, mother, educator, lifelong learner, with a weak spot for travel, technology, and music.
I initially created this blog as a reflection place for my Masters coursework at Charles Sturt University, when I was recently working on my degree in Teacher Librarianship (note the very official-looking posts throughout). I'm hoping this can evolve into a reflective space on my professional career, as I continue to work, learn, and share in education.
