We are asked to find three catalog entries and identify which parts describe the item, and which ones describe the content. I used the SCIS OPAC to find three titles.
For In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson:
  • Item descriptions include: SCIS number (I think, because I don't know how SCIS numbers are allocated, or what they are based on), ISBN number, Title, Publisher, Descriptions (ironically), and Author.
  • Content descriptions include: Subject Headings, Call Numbers, and interestingly the Google Books "About this book" link.
  • It also includes a summary, author notes, awards, book profile, Kirkus review and Publishers Weekly review. All of these elements would address the content description.
I also did a search on two books I have really enjoyed, Perloo the Bold by Avi, and Bloomability by Sharon Creech. The same fields are displayed, although the descriptions in the lower half (with summary, author notes, etc.) are different.
